Personality: Lyra tends to keep to herself, the only person she opens up to is her sister or someone she has become really close to. When Lyra is in a bad mood she tends to lash out at people, if someone makes her mad she will tend to plot somehow to get back at them. If Lyra likes you, she will try her best to not be over reactive around the person she likes or cares for, but usually her temper gets the best of her.

Appearance: Lyra has long flowing black hair, and blue eyes. She likes to wear different kimono’s than her regular black robes at times.

History/Background: When Lyra was three, her sister had been sent off to a boarding school, so she never really got to meet her but on holidays. While Lily, her sister, was away at the dreaded school, Lyra was stuck with their parents, which was an even worse ideal. Everyday Lyra helped the maids wash the house or garden, it was all because her parents could care less how she turned out. Lyra was a free spirit when she was young, always running off and enjoying herself, not really caring what others thought, but it all changed after she started to grow.

When Lyra turned twelve, they all got the tragic news that Lily had died. Even though Lyra didn’t know her sister very well, her sister was the only one who knew how she ticked. She withdrew and tried to hide within herself, which ultimately made her parents worry. They decided to send her to a school, to get her around girls her own age, the plan worked out horribly. Lyra was unlike any of the girls at that school, the sad thing was it was the same one Lily had been at, so of course she would get hammered with questions about her sister, her usual answer to any question was I don’t know.

After being there for two years, Lyra started hearing voices. At first she thought it was the other girls trying to scare her, but it was male voices. It started to freak her out, and the other girls. She got very little sleep, and started writing really disturbing things in her journal. After a while she started cutting herself with her sewing needle, it didn’t help much, she just wanted to feel in control. One day it got bad though.

The voices were getting louder, and she started seeing figures in the shadows, it was like they were mocking her, taunting her to try and get them to go away. It was exactly what she was going to try to do. A few weeks after she started cutting, she took a bunch of candles, poured the gas all over her room, the dining room, the hall ways, and the lobby, hoping it would kill the things taunting her when she sat it on fire, instead of being rid of them, she ended up killing most of the girls there along with herself, and the head mistress.

It went through the papers for weeks, that there was a fire at the school, but no one knew the cause of it. Eventually everyone forgot about the girls and the school. Lyra immediately passed over to Rukongai, hoping that her sister would be on the other side. She didn’t find her though, instead she was in Rukongai 76 district, living a harder life than when she was alive, everyday struggling to survive, it wasn’t until about a hundred years later that something piqued her interest. The soul reaper academy seemed like a better place to go than to live in the district she was in. Lyra decided to join the soul reaper academy, and see how far she could go. She trained and studied hard each day, working her way towards the Gotei thirteen. The division that piqued her interest most was the thirteenth, and hoped that was the one she’d get stuck in. Somehow luck was on her side and she was put in the thirteenth division, where she still resides.

A figure was standing, silhoetted in the shadows, Wearing a colorful kimono over her normal black robes, Lyra, of the thirteenth division was watching the people of rukongai with extreme curiosity, for some reason, they were bantering about the Seireiti having too much power. She didn't mean to be eaves dropping, but she happened to hear it on her way back from checking on something on the other side of Rukongai. It was easy to go unnoticed, the people wouldn't even nkow that she was there if something unexpected didn't occur. Lyra's eyes were on the man in the middle of the group, standing on a barrel of some sort, telling the souls lie after lie about the ones who protect them. Lyra's sapphire blue eyes watched curiously, the man was dreesed in rags and seemed to have a bunch of scars all over his body, when he opened his mouth, She saw he was missing some teeth.

Lyra was getting ready to leave the area, but noticed something move behind the guy. Already curious, and now on alert, Lyra shunpoed behind the man, startling a bunch of people. She turned around and noticed about four or five people all wearing masks, looking as if they were ready to attack someone. Soon enough, they charged towards Lyra, her eyes watching each of them.

A man pulled out a knife, attempting to stab her, she spun away, easily dodging his pathetic attempt. In a swift movement, Lyra kick her leg out, getting the guy in the gut. Another man was comming up behind her, she drew her Zanpakto, turned around, and slashed at the guys arm. He crumpled to the ground, crying in pain. Two women from the group tried to attack her from each side, Lyra round house kicked the one on the left, and hit the other with the flat of her sword, grabbing the woman by the wrists, and pushing her on the ground.

Lyra sighed and sheathed her Zanpakto, turning to the man who was bad mouthing the soul society. " I think I just saved your life. now what was so bad about the soul society?" the mans mouth was wide open, he didn't say anything, just ran away in fear that she would hit him. Lyra turned back around to look at the people that were going to attack the man, but instead attacked her. "hope you will enjoy prison" with that she smiled and shunpoed to a gate, leading back into the sereitei, the excitement was over.
