Captain's meeting. (all captains and lt.'s)

Shin opened up the gigantic doors which stood in front of the meeting chambers. Instantly as the doors flew open the dark room was lit by several lanterns hanging from the pillers, which supported the room. There were 13 sections on the floor. Six of which were on each side across from one another, numbered 2 through 13. In the front and center position of the room was his section. Shin sat there promptly, while removing his zanpaktou and placing it at his side. Shin then took a look around the empty room, before snapping his fingers. At the very sound of that snapping, 5 executive militia men dropped from the ceiling. Each one bowed their heads to their new commander, and kneeled in silence. "Place out a call for all Captains, and thier respective leutenants." Shin said, looking forward emotionless. Then Shin bowed his head, as all 5 men dispursed immediately. Soon all members of Sereitie's finest would fill these walls. His first meeting of the Gotei 13 would commense. Shin knew little of what would come in his first years as Captain Commander. However he wanted to be ready for the worst, and as such percautions had to be made. Things had grown quiet over the years, and to Shin this silence was disturbing. Something was stirring in the wind, and as he feared it would break the silence that so many had become accostumed to. Los Noches had been forgotten, almost seen as a thing of the past. The Espada had waited for a long while, making no efforts to destroy Soul Society. But however long they wait, they more their anger and hatred would grow. It was only a matter of time before silence was shattered. It was a moment which Shin himself feared, and anticipated.

Mai followed the flitting hell butterfly, violet eyes tracking the swift movements of black wings. She did not look behind her to see if Hoshi-taichou was following her, but instead walked straight ahead with all the confidence she could muster. This was to be her first Captain's meeting as an actual Captain herself, her first time standing on equal ground with the other Captain's. Mai wasn't sure weather to be delighted or dismayed. Either way she kept her sang-froid, geta enshrouded feet making small clatters as she walked.

After a few minutes of travel, Mai reached the meeting room. The doors had been thrown open, so she could clearly see the relatively open room. The sole occupant being Kageoni-Soutaichou. Noting the carefully inscribed floors, she gracefully walked to the partition emblazoned with the number nine. Standing at her full height, all five feet of it, Mai held herself proudly. Inclining her head respectfully towards the Captain Commander, her kanzashi jangled loudly through the quiet room. "Kageoni-Soutaichou," she greeted cordially.

The soft sound of sanded feet gently echoed down from the hallway, Toboe hoped she was not was late for the meeting, or was one of the last one to show, but despite this she did not rush. Her knee length silver hair seemed to flow behind her as she walked, lifting up enough to show the insignia of the 4th division on the back of her crisp white haori, the green and brown cloth that hung from the handle on her zanpaktuo fluttered about, brushing the back of her hand as she walked. The wolf eared captain smiled slightly when she reached the meeting hall and only saw Shin and Mai there.

“Kageoni- Soutaichou, Mai-sama.” She bowed as she greeted them, ”Ryuujin-sama may be a few more minutes longer than normal as i had just finished treating him when we got the message” she informed them before taking her spot along the wall. She wondered how long Ryuujin would be, with his stamina she had a feeling it would not be too long.

The clapping of the 7th squad captain’s sandals against the hard floor echoed
as he approached. Typically it would be near impossible to sense his comrades
well suppressed spiritual energy, so he didn’t bother with the occasional trivial
guessing game he might play before entering. He sighed moments prior to stepping
through the large doors, they were very much traditional as exempt to the one in his
office. Commander shin was the first he made contact with upon entering, he bowed.
“Kageoni- Soutaichou” as he lifted his head and made his way to his position.

His eyes widened to degree as he had almost been caught by surprise by the
unparalleled beauty of both captain Mai, as well as Toboe-san. He contained himself
remaining of the utmost proper “Captain’s Toboe and Kuchiki-san” he bowed.
He then calmly shifted his zanpaktou to his rear and folded his arms in anticipation of his fellow captains.

Again the ever so familiar sound of unrestrained food falls echoed down the hall, this time it was to signal the arrival of the 5th Division’s captain Ryuujin Shirosaki. His dark hair and eyes seemed to be the same shade of black as his Shinigami uniform, the white haori standing out in contrast along with the deep read sash that went from his right shoulder to his left hip that firmly held his zanpaktuo to his back, so much so that it did not move when he walked, he appeared stern this time, his face set in a slight scowl that the normal odd grin he had.

He gave a slight bow of the head as he entered the meeting hall, only seeing 4 other captains he knew he had made it in good time, but said nothing to anyone as he took his spot along one of the walls, not even looking at Toboe, infect he was trying not to look at her, he did not want his mind wondering again.

Waka came in soon after Captain Shirosaki, and made his way over to the barren 8th spot. "Where's my captain?" Waka said to himself, as he stood in the place of his captain anyway. In the event that she failed to show up completely he would become responseable for whatever was needed of squad 8. Waka took a look around the room, it was the first time he had seen the captains in one spot. Two of the females were more attractive, than he had orginally givin note. Then there was Saito, who was more intoxicated than his look gave way. Finally was Captain Shirosaki, who up until now seemed pretty normal. However in this instance Waka made out that he had scary looking horns petruding from his head. Waka found that he was soon staring at them, and soon looked in the opposite direction as to not offened.

There was no sound, no trace of Spiritual Energy, as he landed infront of the Doors. He sighed, and scratched the back of his head, before nodding at the Soldier from the Executive Militia, signalling him that he could take his leave now. He had no problem sensing the suppressed Spiritual Pressure of the 6 other Captains, and one Lt. He shrugged before he took a quick look at his Haori, making sure it wasn't dirty. Excessively Shunpo-ing could get your clothes quite Dirty, and he didn't want to present himself infront of Shin like that. Thinking back now, he remembered that he knew Shin, as one of the more Talented ones, from the Executive Militia. But to think he became the Soutaichou, in such a short time was pretty amazing.

He quickly replaced the previous look of dissapointment on his face, and entered the room, with a quirky smile in its place, quickly waving to Shin, saying " How are you today, Shin ? ", completely ignoring the formalities, as he did, more often than not. He expected he'd get a scolding or something of the sorts from Shin, but he didn't really care. He knew the man from a long time ago, and if he did have an ego problem, then he just wasn't cut out for the position of Soutaichou. Without hesitation, he turned to the rest, and waved at them as well, trying to remember their names.

He knew Rebecca, since he had trained her, when she was his Lt. He knew Captain Toboe from some of his visits to the 4th Division for healing. He somewhat recognized the man with a frown on his face as the Captain of Division 5, but didn't care enough to remember the name. He knew Mai, since he had recently attended her Ceremony of ascension to the rank of a Captain. Then there was a Lt, whom he did not recognize at all, and finally, Saito, one of the more, sophisticated yet kinda creepy, people he knew. He had been a Captain longer than most of them, so he was used to these Meetings, and how dull they could be. Without wasting any more time, he casually walked over to his place.

As a yielding silence befell the meeting hall prior to the respective Shinigami’s entry
Saito muscled through the Sake’s effect, speaking out in a very nonchalant manner
“Shin-sama, pardon my brashness… Would it be acceptable to as of now presume
the remaining officers tardy, and carry on with the meeting?”

He spoke very clearly, careful not to slur through his words or say anything that might
offend his comrades in his current state. He only wished to speed things up because
of the insolence he felt his very presence there meant. Saito didn’t mind his reputation
being tarnished, but only that those around him knew very well how serious he took his position.

Shin paused for a moment, before nodding his head in agreement. "Perhaps I am not as respected as my position leads on. However in this case I must agree with you." Shin said giving a slight smirk towards Saito. Shin looked at the others who weren't currently absent. It wasn't the fullest bunch he had seen, however he would take what he would get in this senario. "The time has come to take action. There have been many wars before our time, and there will be more to come. However waiting for any oposition to show itself, isn't a strong option in my opinion. Neither is attacking all those we deem unfit to exist." Shin said in a firm tone, trying to grasp everyone's full attention. "We have been dormant for far too long, and much like our enimies we've become too near sighted for our own good. During a time a peace one may rest, however if we rest too long we leave ourselves open. It's time that we returned to our watchful ways, and act as the guards we once were." Shin stated before standing to his feet.

"For right now we need to know our situation in the world. I want a few of you to travel to Karakura town. I have a feeling that old battle grounds will become new one's." Shin said before turning his gaze onto Saito. "Captain Saito, you and Leutenant Nonki will go to survey Karakura town. Bring back any news you find to be important to us. I was hoping your captain would go, but this should serve as a good chance to break you in." Shin then turned to look at Ryuujin. "Captain Shirosaki, you are to survey the human realm. You are to find as much information on Bounts, Quincies, Viazards as you possibly can. Though you are not to let your pressence become known. Nor are you by any means allowed to interfear with them, unless you have to. Captain Kuchiki Will assist you." Shin waved his hand, to let them know that they were allowed to leave. "The rest of you are on standby until further notice, Espcially Captians Toboe, and Kaiten" Shin said finally before sitting down again.

OOC - Why is everyone calling this character Mai? No one ever called Byakuya by his first name. XP

Watching the other Captain's filter in she was surprised at how many she recognized. Perhaps not by actual knowledge, but she knew most of their names and had seen them all a few times before. Even though she was the first to arrive, it was strange that Hoshi-taichou hadn't arrived by the time the meeting started. Perhaps he had gotten caught up in something?

Mai tilted her slender neck to the side, dark hair slithering against her pale skin as she surveyed the other Shinigami. Nodding in acknowledgment to each one as they entered, she carefully observed their interactions. It seemed she wasn't the only new Captain, which was both a relief and a bit unnerving. For the Gotei 13 to need more than one new Captain at a time was a strange occurrence.

As the Soutaichou called the meeting to a start and began to speak, Mai turned her attention back to him. Glancing at Shirosaki-taichou Mai couldn't think up a complaint about her new duties. She wouldn't mind seeing the human world, and gathering information was always interesting. "Hai Kageoni-soutaichou," Mai murmured, as she accepted her orders. Waiting, unsure if this was a dismissal or if the meeting had merely just started, she brought her hand up to smooth the intricate gold obi tied around her waist.

Chills crawled down the young Captains spine as Kageoni-soutaichou commenced with the meeting.
Everything he spoke of held great relevance to Saito; in fact he had been thinking precisely the same
thing, it was far too quite, and in the world the lived in it could only mean calm before the storm
“Hai Commander-sama” he bowed.Subsequently he gazed towards Waka with a nod
“We should set out immediately Wakamono-kun” he let out a faint wink, knowing Waka would understand his hurry.
A solitary drop of sweat escaped a gland from Saito’s forehead, he could no long keep
the toxins at bay, he then vanished by shunpo prior to politely relinquishing one final bow with respect to his peers.

Waka was shocked to see that the commander would pick him to go. However he nodded his head in silence. He was nervous about going in his captains place. "Hai Commander." Waka said as he stood up straight. Waka steped forward as Saito commanded, and gave a quick bow. Waka then set out directly after Saito, however with less speed than his supirior.

Shit shit shit shit shit!!! Shuei was driven late towards his first ever meeting after being appointed the new captain for division six. Sadly he had not have enough time to reconsider to wear his haori due to his lateness and mind drifting of getting there now. Awkwardly the meeting would be done by now and he might have missed just about everything! The new captain had wasted time without knowing it even though the newly Captain Commander took the liberty to send out men to scatter and bring these news upon all Captains and their lieutenants. This is what happened.

During this afternoon lull, Shuei enjoys tea time with his favorite manifestation named Lilith, the second within his zanpakutou. As he pours his tea, it infuses the room with the tangy aroma of raspberry. Lilith attempts to spring the tea cup to her charming lips but fails due to the spirit form. In frustration she whines and moans about not being able to eat food. Her eyes target Shuei like a hawk. Suddenly she vanishes from his sight. Shuei sighs in boredom while wasting more time as this went on.

His room was pretty empty. Glancing at the picture that adorns his desk, he stays still. A picture of his family. Before his 5th birthday that is when he was alive. Suddenly one of the five executive militia men came to Shuei's room and told him about the meeting! It took a while to reach him and to inform back as Shuei was now racing and pacing his trail towards the meeting while thinking of that little waste of time. His Shinigami robes smells that of raspberry. Before hand he had opened the gigantic doors slowly and a bit dramatically. With light shining down on this man and covering his face and appearance by a mere few seconds through shadow.

The young man's eyes looked up at the others with some sort of determination. These eyes were noraml like any other person except the fact of both of his iris were crimson instead of another color. Shuei quickly let go of the two doors and began to quickly walk among the Captains and lieutenants. His black long hair was messy with bangs. Although he also wore a long cyan scarf around his neck and a white kenseikan on his head that was made to keep hair in place didn't help much either.

Shuei had looked around the room and kept a straight face rather than a goofy-type social person he is. The most weirdest thing about this young man was his appeal. He ressembled too much like Byakuya Kuchiki from the noble Kuchiki family. He quickly took a seat numbered by the number six from the division. This non haori wearing Shinigami was sitting in a Captain's seat. Yet he was one. He recognized one face there and that was the woman with the strange strawberry hair color. The rest he did not knew as he just graduated from the Academy and had met that woman a few times before entering the Academy itself.

A small sigh escaped his lips before speaking was to occur with this young man. Shuei felt as if he just did something bad. But that wasn't so true.
"So.. What did I miss?", he simply said a bit concerned about his question. This truely was a bad impression for his first run as captain.

It was a relaxing day as usual. Hoshi taking that relaxing pace towards the meeting. It's not that he didn't care. He just didn't see any concerns in hurrying up. The saying comes, why the hurry? He's got all day long. Maybe Shuei or Mai-chan can fill him in what happened. Maybe he'd go to sleep after that. A gamble, a mad one at that. Shin-senpai might get angry at him, but since when has he ever seen him angry? He reckoned never, maybe he was just not there at the right time. That's how it went. His straw sandals struck the shiny wooden floor on each step.

He was late. The usual thing. Meetings were just never his thing. No matter what he does, he never even made it to ONE meeting on time, only one close to being on time was one that's five minutes late, albeit still late! He took each nonchalant step to his spot where he stood, giving that pleasant smile to everyone he always does. Maybe Captain Commander Shin will take up upon his mercy and forgive him for his lateness.

"Yari yari.... gomen for being late... well...." he paused, his thumb reaches the bottom of his lips as he thinks of a proper answer, EUREKA! "At least I am here!" He gave that grin now. Half-assed as it is.

At least he wasn't THAT bad looking compared to some other Captains. He is wearing his Haori and all, and has that Zanpakuto of his fixed to his obi sash. All is well. Shuei-kun looks even worse than him! That made Hoshi feel happy that at least there was another like him. Late and all... maybe lazy as well? Who knows? He looks determined as it is. He did gain his Captain ship after a series of years of hardwork. Hoshi acknowledged that, and will acknowledge this Cap as a genuine one too.

A Kuchiki anyways. 2nd one he met just today that seems just so uptight! Best to keep the mouth shut for now, seems like Shin might say something that might influence the course of Seireitei history that Hoshi might miss if he wasn't listening as intently.

Shin smiled at the two tardy captains. "You haven't missed much. We are however at a standby phase. So you are ordered to return to your quaters, and be prepared to move out on my command. However squads 6, and 11 won't be the first one's called into action. So you may do as you feel nessesary for the time being." Shin said, nodding his head. "However we are up for discussion. If anyone feels the need to bring forth any new business."

Ryuujin was starting to feel almost antsy as the meeting went on, part of him found it odd that he would be sent to the human world out of everyone there, it had been almost 100 years since he was last dispatched to the living realm but lucky he was always kept up to date on social changes happing there so he was not too worried about fitting in. The horned male looked over to captain Kuchiki who would be his partner for this outing, and it seemed by the way Shin worded it that they have all the area outside of Karakura town to petrol and that was not going to be any small task, seeing as Japan in itself was a huge continent in itself and would most likely take weeks to cover completely. Ryuujin stepped forwards, his sanded feet hardly making a sound despite his somewhat heavy footed ways, giving a slight bow to the others in the room.

“If you do not mind I will set off now to get ready,” he wanted to leave out the part that his gegi took longer to prepared then normal ones, because of his horns, “I will meet you by the gate Kuchiki-san.” He bowed again before turning and shunpoing out the door, part of him happy to get out and see the real word, the other part of him apprehensive of what he would find out there.

Mai inclined her head slowly, "Of course Shirosaki-taichou," she murmured solemnly. Watching as the older Captain left the room, she pondered slightly weather or not most Captain's ran away using Shunpo? Were Captain meetings really something so irksome? Shrugging her delicate shoulders ever so slightly, the young Kuchiki turned back to the rest of the assembly.

"I will take my leave now. Please excuse me." Nodding shortly to the others, she turned and walked out of the room, long sleeves flowing behind her. Mai really hated to shunpo unless she had to, it had the odd tendency of messing with her hair ornaments. Besides, there was no reason to rush. Gigai were uncomfortable enough as it was, what point was there running to enter one? She would have to bring a few of Division Nine's inventions along with her though... Just in case.

Musing deep in thought, Mai turned the corner of the hallway and disappeared.

The light sound of what would be a kin to a silver bell sounded out, signalling the arrival of a hell butterfly, messengers of the Shinigami, the black winged insect gently glided into the captains meeting room. It did not take it long to find the man it needed out of everyone in the room, gliding down to the caption commander himself, fluttering infront of him briefly before landing on his hand.

“Message from Ryuujin Shirosaki captain of the 5th Division; Go back to Kageoni-Sotaichou, tell him that there is unnaturally high levels of Menos activity in Tokyo,” there was a brief pause in the message, like Ryuujin had stopped to do something, “there are at least 30 that I can see.”

The captain’s voice cut off there.

Shin nodded his head, as the he listened to the messege. "hmmm, it's already begun? Captain kisuke, Toboe" Shin said pointing them to the door. "However know that you are the reinforcements here. If we loose 4 captains and a lutenant here, we prepare for war. Don't let me down here." Shin said, with a heavy tone.

Lyra Tasayo had just entered her division headquarters, tired. She had just went two days awake, and Had only moments ago found out she was the new captain of the division thirteen. Her eyes shifted over the room, it was white with a desk, a chair in front of it, and a fireplace, kind of bare, but she would fix it up real soon. As soon as she sat down on the chair infront of her desk, a hell butterfly landed on her shoulder, saying there was a meeting. ” great…’ She rolled her eyes and stood up and walked right back out the door and made her way to where the meeting was to be held.

Lyra yawned and popped her neck, her new Haori floating behind her as well as her dark hair. She nodded to the occasion lower rank shinigami that she passed and smiled. Soon enough she was at the door of the meeting place. She walked in and noticed most we’re gone already. ”oops… “ She spotted captain commander Shin, it was only her first day, and she was already late for the first meeting. ” captain commander, I am sorry I am later, I have only momentarily received the message, and only a bit before that, I was declared captain of the thirteenth division.”

She shifted her weight from foot to foot, uncomfortable. She didn’t mean to be late, but she was and as it seemed the meeting was already over.

Looks like the sixth and eleventh divisions were not to go on the front lines of observing the circumstances of war. It must meant that Shin entrusted the new captain Shuei into being a great backup. Shortly afterwards the two other Captains left a new came in. A young attractive girl. She was late but not as messed up as Shuei was as he forgot his haori and he was very messy with his long black hair that looks all nappy; wild hair basically. He looked up at the ceiling with his crimson eyes wondering if his questioned even matter now or how his appeal was. The other surprising thing was the other late captain who has been here quite a long run for a long while here at Soul society.

Suddenly without knowing it he rose his arms in the air with a happy expression with both eyes closed in a cartoonish and lazy like face of happiness. "Yay!! I'm not the only one late~!!", the second later he passed out on the table to were he sat with his head hitting the table forehead first. The long whitish scarf around his neck moved slightly with the bump. Shuei was knocked out by the tea he drank with Lilith. Awkwardly he always seems to collapse with tea when drinking it alone with one of his manifestations. Secretly both of them trick him somehow into drinking a drugged tea that knocks someone out after drinking it in a bout fifteen minutes or so.

Passed out on the table he didn't make a sound afterward and was still there. Both hands landed beside his head and slowly slipped beside his thighs from the deadless weight of Shuei.

Toboe had remained quite throughout the meeting; it seems the check-up on Saito-san’s division came just at the right time after all, soon a few of them left to get started for their potentially long trip to the human world. But this did give Toboe time to think as the meeting went on, there was something that she wanted to ask of Kageoni-sotaichou but now was not the time for that, and she did not want to ask him about it in front of the other captains, seeing as it would mostliky be a very controversial subject. The small chime of a bell made her wolf ears twitch as the hell butterfly entered the meeting hall, from one of the captains already? They were working fast.

When Shin ordered her and the 12th captain she knew it was ‘show time’ as some of the humans would put it “Hai Kageoni-sotaichou!” but as she turned to leave another late comer walked in, shortly followed by the dull ‘thunk’ of Setsuna-san’s head hitting the table. To think Toboe just rolled her eyes as the sleeping man, thinking that maybe the Gotie 13 where in a bit of disarray, leaning over she flicked the top of his head, a spark of Kido going off as her finger made contact with him, that should be enough to shock him back around, a tleast for a while anyway.

Bowing to the others she quickly left, not at shunpo speeds but still not walking, not wanting to waste a moments time getting to the human world.

Rebecca blinked a few times, she remained silent through the meeting. Truth be told she was a bit shy and nervous. A slight pink color tinted her cheeks the whole time, refusing to go away but that was Rebecca for you, she went red in the face to easily. she watched as more captains entered the room. Rebecca sat in her seat laying back casually. She listened carefully however. She tilted her head to the side a bit as she watched the newcomer uncomfortabley shift her wieght from side to side. The gazed over the other captains.

as soon as she head captain Setsuna go "yay!!" her eyes immediately focused on him. biting her bottom lip lightly she leaned back in her chair, seeing he passed out then. Her lips pulled back slightly into a grin. She restrained herself from laughing as she found it funny in a way. Poor guy, having himself pass out in the middle of a captains meeting. rebecca watched as Captain toboe poked captain Setsuna on the forehead before she took her leave.

Rebecca stood up from her seat, both of her hands planted on the smooth surface of the table in front of her. She leaned forwards. Her arms brushing against the material of her off-the-shoulder, dress-like shinigami outfit as she streched her hand out forwards her index finger on her left hand poked Captain Setsuna lightly on the head, pressing against the messy hair he had. her grin grew from sheer amusment. She poked his head once more, a bit harder. Pulling her hand back for a mement to see if he would stir awake again before she poked him again and again. Giggling slightly she flickered her eyes to look at anyother captains who would look at her poking him.
wakey wakey hands off snakey she giggled softly, smiling now as she waited for Captain Setsuna to wake up while she leaned over from across the table, Her captains haori pushing off of her shoulders slightlly

A weary smile, had crept its way on to the face of the Captain of the 12 Division, the Recently appointed, head of the Ukitake Family, and the very quirky man, who was known in the Gotei 13, as Kisuke. He politely greeted all the Captains as they came in, one by one, appearing specially Happy, at the arrival of the 11th Divisions Captain, Hoshi, an old Friend. This was quite a Rarity, to see someone like the Captains of the 12th and 11th Division, as the closest of friends, but true none the less. But his joy at seeing an old friend, was not enough, to compensate for his annoyance. As if it was not enough, that he had been disturbed from his Evening Tea, for something so Futile, he was now supposed to sit back, and wait for them to attack, while the other Captains got in on the Action ? Very wrong, and not to mention, unfair. When a Badass like the Captain Commander Shin is already present in the SS, why did they need him and Toboe as well, was something, he didn't understand. Plus, he would have preferred Hoshi, or Mao, or Rebecca, to Toboe, seeing as he knew her well. But once he'd made a decision, he was unlikely to change it. That was just how Shin was.

Stepping out of his place, he turned to face the Soutaichou, and bowed, and said, " Sure thingy, Shin. But I would've preferred to get in on some of the action ", while he ruffled up the hair on the back of his head. Comically making his way across the room, he reached the door, placed a hand on his forehead, and casually flicked it, like a salute, and said " Adieu " and finally, winking at Rebecca and waving to Hoshi, he stepped out of the room. With that said and done, he quickly closed the door, making sure not to slam it. Stepping out, he decided to head back to his Division, and catch a few Z's before the Arrancar attacked the Soul Society. He could also catch up on some of that paper work, or maybe monitor the going ons of the Human Realm.

As he stood there pondering on what to do, like a good little hobit. Then suddenly, he realized, that Mao hadn't come to the meeting. It was strange for her, of all people to miss out on the meeting. Infact, he would have expected her to kick his ass for being late, but this was certainly... strange. Suddenly, an Idea struck him, on how to pass the time. With the same mischievous grin on his face, for which he'd often earned a bonk on the head from Mao, he turned to face the Second Division HQ, and with his arm raised to the sky, he said " Up Up and Away " and within a moment, he was gone from where he stood, racing to meet Mao, hoping she wouldn't beat the living Midgets out of him for not visiting her in such a long time.
