Personality:
Shin is calm and collective with a somewhat crude sense of humor, though in recent years tries hard not to let his humor show, as much as he did before he attained the rank of Captain Commander. Shin is never one to judge others or question orders, and will follow through with the will of Soul Society until his dying breath. Shin understands the severity of his job, and commands respect from those who rank beneath him. In battle Shin always keeps his composure, and never underestimates anyone. Often at times Shin is quick to finish off his opponents, never taking his time in doing so. Shin views most battles as a life or death scenarios, so to him there is no reason to play around.

History/Background:
As a human Shin served as a leader of a clan of ninja, in service to the Shogunate. Shin was skilled at pulling strings behind the scenes, and taking down enemies from the inside. Shin was a loyal subordinate for many years before his capture. Shin was tortured for several years before he was killed, for not giving in to his enemies’ demands. Shin and all of his secrets died, and were forced to wonder alone for quite some time. By the time anyone had gotten to him his chain had but one link left in it.
Shin's life before joining as a Shinigami was rough. Shin would run countless illegal operations, sell information, and do countless wrong deeds to aid himself financially. Shin often at times would even be used as a contact by Shinigami, but only if the price was right. However this would come to an end as he was soon arrested and processed for his wrong deeds. Shin sat in a shinigami prison for a few months before being approached with an offer he couldn't refuse. It would appear that he did have certain skills and powers that were of more use to the Shinigami than himself. The deal was for Shin to join the Shinigami Black opps. as a spy, and informant on the districts outside of the SS itself. And in return Shin would regain his freedom, though in the service of the Shinigami themselves.

Shin was immediately put into academy training where his skills lacked in comparison of others around him. However this mattered little as he was not chosen for his combat, or magic expertise. Shin graduated from the academy, though no one really knows if he was responsible for graduation, or wheatear or not some of the higher upps interfered with his education process. Shin then spent several years working for the Shinigami Black opps. There he had learned many skills useful to his role as a shinigami. Within his tearm in the Black opps. Shin had learned to realease his Zanpaktou, which carried an ability which only made him more valuable as a spy.

Within his term Shin had gained veterancy amongst the Black opps. Even obtaining a spot in the executive militia, as one of the few who work, and are commanded by Captain of squad 2. Within that time Shin had archived bankai, though he considered it to be cheating as his Zanpaktou was not a particularly violent one. Another hundred years had past, before Shin was ordered to leave the executive militia permanently. His new assignment was to replace the former captain of squad 1, as his skills from working from within the system of Soul Society would put him in excellent shape to command soul society’s army.
