~Caged like a Tiger~

Shuei nods and smiles. "I am-", before he could say something he fell backwards. Fainting as it seems. The damn blade itself really loathed Shuei and the reason was unclear why but Shuei knows. This is the result from not ever using her at full power. His crimson eyes went from that to black. He fell on the hard solid concrete of the roof they were on. His eyes rolled to the back of his head. All of his body remained dead. Not being able to move was a pain and what's worse is that he couldn't see no more.

Paks took a quick step forward, kneeling next to Shuei and reaching out with alacrity. She ghosted her hands over his body, as if attempting to sense for something. Finally she sat back on her heels, murmuring softly, "Shuei-san, are you alright?"

It looked like he was just exhausted or something. Unconscious. But that shouldn't have happened from him just attacking, his reiatsu signature was that of a powerful Shinigami. Simply slashing at the Hollow shouldn't have done this, and the Shunpo from earlier wouldn't have tired him that badly. As far as she could tell the Hollow hadn't attacked him back either, but it was possible she had missed something.

Darkness. A unpleasant thing to say sometimes. A unpleasant world. Shuei was trapped in his own darkness, drowning into a sea of nothingness. His eyes suddenly opened as he heard her voice. Slightly bearable but a gasp escaped his lips. "..Ahh. Yes..", he said looking up at her with a small smile. His own Zanpakutou had toyed with him again for laughs. Where was the other side when you needed her? Well in this case Shuei sat up and stretched a bit.

"Sorry, it's my blade.. It's crazy..", he joked a bit with a smile while still looking at Paks with such a discomfiture position. There was nothing else he could say. "Sorry.", an apology was given instead.

Paks leaned back out of the way as Shuei began to move, assessing the fluidity of his movements to see if there was any lasting effects. She cocked her head to the side, a curious and somewhat apprehensive look crossing her face, "Are swords normally crazy Shuei-san?"

That still left the question, how the heck did a sword do that to someone? Unless it drained energy? But that should have been a noticeable thing, at the very least one should assume that Shuei wouldn't use a sword that would incapacitate him after fending off such a weak Hollow. Paks was intrigued, it surely was a strange turn of events.

A small flick was given on Paks forehead in the center by two fingers, the index and middle right fingers. Shuei's eyes were black but slowly returned back into their crimson usual iris color. It was all too suspicious. "No, just mine.", he simply said. He gave off a small warm smile afterward. Giving her a sign of 'OK'. Shuei stood up slowly while making sure his Zanpakutou was strapped on his left hip correctly which is was anyway.

"Well I better get back to Soul Society to choose a Division to join.. See yeah Paks!", he said cheerfully and then a sudden turn of running away. A feel of shock and lonesome depression struck him. He tried to run away from her and this place. He hasn't been the same since death around people.

Paks nodded, watching as the Shinigami's eyes changed color. She hadn't noticed that before, but his eyes were returning to the red tint from earlier. Perhaps that too had to do with his crazy zanpakutou? Pushing that information back for interpretation at a later date, Paks got to her feet as Shuei did, brushing the back of her hand across her forehead where he had poked her and watching him silently.

At his words, she hastened to respond before he was out of hearing range, "Sayonara Shuei-san! If you ever come back to Karakura, and you need help again, I shouldn't be that hard to find!" One could hear the smile through her words.

Blinking as the Shinigami disappeared, Paks shook her head. That had certainly been strange. Ah well, it had provided some important leads, or at least a few bits of information. Mentally phrasing the beginning of her report, she turned and began to walk away.

Apparently he noticed Paks left away too for her own bidding. She was a bit weird but awesome of a person and amazing to even see such spirits unlike usual humans. Shuei traveled into a certain area from where he came from. Though it took a while to find again after traveling so much away he finally ventured into that designated area he came from. The sun had gone down and he awaited for a gate to open. A special one that Shinigami use. His crimson eyes slowly looked up at the nightly cold atmosphere we call the sky. He yawned and looked at his surroundings. A street, some street lights and a few homes around the place filled with trees and grass in particular areas. Shuei smiled as a sudden bright light opened up, gleaming over Shuei and the area. The gate had opened. A black butterfly appeared out and flew around Shuei. His smiled dropped once he started walking into the opening gate. This truely wasn't good for him. He never really liked Soul Society but lived to serve it with deepest pride and respect for his family that had been forgotten.
