New commander

Shin was escorted into the chambers of the 1st division headquaters. In front of him stood two large doors, guarded by ten Shinigami. All ten of them bowed, before quickly moving aside. Shin looked at the two exeutive militiamen who had escorted him there. "Guess there's no going back now? Is there?" Shin said to himself Shaking his head. He was promoted to this position straight from the executive militia, and was not expecting a career with so much responseability. Either way central chose him, and he excepted. Shin began walking into his office, which had a single mat on the floor. This is where he would hold his meetings with the rest of the captains of Serieitie. Shin walked down the long hall, past where he would sit during meetings.

Behind the meeting quaters was another door, which slid open to reveal a large garden. The garden was a beatiful sight, with a large wall surrounding the parimiter. Shin walked into the garden and took in this wonderful sight. This is where he would meditate, and think on matters that concerned him. Shin felt a bit off, being so young, however he knew that this was his new duty. Shin sat down on the porch, and looked outward on the garden. He lit up a cigarette, taking in a deep breath and letting it out in a cloud of smoke. "This i sappose is my new begining......ohh god how did I get caught up in this mess?" Shin said rubbing his head.

Saito approached from the office entrance, his voice was likely to be heard before his appearance was seen, though he politely bowed his head anyway
“I apologize for ignoring the proper channels, but I was eager to meet the new commander of the gotei 13”
His head would remained at a bow as he introduced himself with a stoic demeanor
“I am Saito, Division 7 head, I was only informed of your presence today, for central to make a decision
so quickly, you must truly be a talented shingami ...it’s an honor…”
Although it was still early Saito had already finished carrying out his daily regimen, he wished to give the new general a warm welcome since it was only his first day, but there was also the matter of paperwork to submit that he would typically send a seated officer to turn in by the days end.

Shin smiled and waved his hand towards the Captain. "Stop bowing, there's really no need." Shin said offering Saito a cigarette. "I wouldn't really say talented though, central doesn't want a warrior, they want a burocrat. And all things considered I've been fighting information wars for so long that I'm not much of a wa"rior at all. Shin said while shaking his head. He was lying, he was infact if noting else, a decent warrior. However Shin felt this would put the other captains at ease.

"But reguardless Saito, it is a pleasure and an honor to meet you." Shin said with a smile. Shin enjoyed the pleasent introduction, seeing as this was probably the only one he would get. Some of the other Captains he knew to be more arrogant.....or drunk. However Saito still had the habits of a younger captain, trying to make his own name for himself.

"Yari yari...." Thought a Hoshi of Shin, "So this is the new Captain Commander... eh? I guess the old man died early on, never really expected Shin-kun to be the one who'll replace old man-sama." He thought once more. Triddle trodder, he'd pace into the room once he finished his thought monologue. His hand makes contact with the surface of the wooden door as he would slide it open, stepping inside. He was draped in a Khaki coloured Shinigami robe rather than the traditional black one, wearing a long sleeved Captain's coat as he would pace inside the room, stopping abruptly as he slides the door closed behind him. Turning around to face his fellow-Captains.

"Congratulations Shin-kun on your promotion... and ohiyo, Saito-kun." Said Hoshi in a dull manner, his glimmering blue eyes were half-closed as he would give a somewhat half-assed faint smile towards the Captain Commander. He wasn't really one on formalities, then again, he uses non-formal speech with just about everyone, justifying that he may have a carefree manner towards life in general, rather than outright arrogance. Another astonishing thing is that he is quite mundane for an 11th Division Captain, apparently not even active from the looks of it and he was too skinny as well. Despite the fact that the 11th Division requires strong men, but that is mostly a judgement of a book from the cover on people's parts if they were to assume that Hoshi is too weak in swordsmanship and doesn't deserve the title of Kenpachi. He earned it in fact through hard work mostly and merits rather than owing his position to his father.

A slight raise of Saito's right hand indicated he would pass on the cigarette, he thought silently
"A Bureaucrat, does he mean to say he has the skill of an ordinary captain..."
He lightly smiled "I see a modest man, I admire diplomacy, the pleasure is all mine commander"
He ignored the usual bow since the commander seemed less formal of a man
than his predecessor it was then the second captain entered, he turned to face the him
"Captain Kenpachi Hoshi, It's been a while...I wasn't expecting to see you here"

Shin smiled to the newly arrived captain. "Save it, with any luck I'll be removed from this position within a month." Shin said with a sarcastic smile. He didn't mind the job to much, but at the same time didn't believe he was fit for the job. Shin had never been a captain before, but instead was one of the few who achived such a high level in the executive militia. Shin took another hit off of his cigarette before tossing what was left aside. "So was there anything else you two wanted, or am I to believe that you only came here for a greeting." Shin said standing, and streatching his back.

"Please... do call me Hoshi, no titles or any one of that... it's just mundane... and likewise, Saito-kun, I thought you were Ferri-chan from your Reiatsu... it just felt so similar... but OH WELL! OHIYO ONCE MORE!" Hoshi remarked in an excited tone. An idea flew around as he would have a suggestion for his new Captain Commander, why not have him start a parade of sorts? Not one of those mulder circus parade styles, but the celebration types?

"Shin-kun... uh... Sama... why don't we have a celebration of a good ol' round of alcohol? You are the new Captain Commander, and it just isn't worth having without a great ol' celebration." Said Hoshi with a smile and a friendly expression. Before anyone knew it... literally. Hoshi pulled out of his Haori a bottle of wine in a quick second.

"Got this from the human world, wanna try some of it? I think it's called vine... or dine... or was it wine? Can't tell really." He said, popping the cork open as it ricochets around the room, first bouncing off the wall, then a corner, then the ceiling then finally the floor before hitting Hoshi dead on his forehead. THWAP! He fell down to the floor instantly as the wine flew up, ready to fall down and break and stain, a combo to be dreaded!

"Yari yari... talk about setting an impression..." He thought as he rubbed his forehead in obvious annoyance, unaware of the impending danger of the falling-down wine.

Saito lowered his head with a slight nudge, he removed a set of documents from his inner robe holding them out to Shin
"As you've stated commander, This isn't just a social visit, these documents pertain to the 7th divisions status,
I'm sure you were informed of the mandatory briefing on division quarters and mission statuses
I would normally send a seated officer, but I did wanted to greet you in person this time, If you'd like I could have
any future documents be sent to your vice, or perhaps 3rd seat?" His eyes faintly shifted towards the strident
sound of the wine bottle's cork breeching, He rubbed the rear of his head embarrassed for Hoshi's ungainliness.

Saito would normally take his leave after turning in paperwork, but it seemed a bit rude to leave Hoshi hanging
and he knew he would never be allowed to live it down, he loosened up a tad, cracking a smile
"Wine you said? Yes I believe I've heard of it, perhaps one cup wouldn't hurt, but are you certain you didn't just break it?
I've never witnessed such a beverage rupture as it just did"

Shin grabbed the pappers from Saito. "I see, well I'll take priority of status reports for the time being, as I don't quite know any of my squad at the moment." Shin said placing the pappers in his coat. Shin then looked to Hoshi. "Don't insult me knowing full and well that the captain of 12, has the best booze in all of Soul Society. But either way It's a bit early for me, and I shouldn't drink on the job. Though I do appreciate the setiment." Shin said standing, and stomping out his cigarette. "Either way you two are free to do as you please, I feel as if i must check on the status of all the divisions before time catches up wit me." Shin stated taking his leave of the first division.

CRACK! The wine bottle broke into green glassy fragments all over the place! The purplish-reddish liquid staining the clothy floor of the room. Well... Hoshi wonders if he'll be to blame, which of course will happen, although Shin is out, perhaps he won't mind. So the question arises, who'll clean up all of the mess? Vóila! The answer are subordinates! That's what they're for, aren't they? Or so Hoshi would reason out, since he hasn't saw much uses for them besides being supplements. He stood up as he giggles nervously at the mess in front of him and Saito, giving a fake smile as he rubs the back of his head.

"A-heh...heh... well... that's what assistants are for, right?" He said nervously, "Well... are you up for Sake in the bar? Heard Tatsuo-chan is having a drink there, maybe we can grab a drink there as well...ish..."

"My my... another bad impression set, oh well... that's what I specialize in... setting bad impressions..." Thought the Hoshi in a mused jesting.

The Captain hung his head in shame, shutting his eyes with a hefty sigh
"Why didn't I follow my instincts, Of course we must look like slackers now,
and to offer the commanding general a drink at the start of the day"
He thought, lightly brushing his hand across his face, he sighed once more
"Perhaps I'll catch up later... I've already summited my work load for the day,
but I can't allow myself to just take it easy, not when my assistants maybe needed elsewhere"

He tilted his head, forcing a smirk upon his lips
"But please promise you'll be a little more careful for the remainder of the day Kenpachi-san"
he made his way pass the poor assistant who had entered in attempts to perform
the nearly impossible, scrubbing the red wine from the once spotless cream-colored office floor

Hoshi takes a left. Makes a right. Then leaves the area in a hurry to catch up with Kapi-tan Saito.
