Takahaya Katsuaki [Superhuman] Empty
PostSubject: Takahaya Katsuaki [Superhuman]   Takahaya Katsuaki [Superhuman] Icon_minitimeWed Jun 03, 2009 2:04 am

Name: Takahaya Katsuaki

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Spoiler:
~Height: 6'9"
~Other: He has a tattoo of a cheetah running on his right thigh, and a diving peregrine falcon on his left thigh.

Personality: Vain and very egotistical, he loves showing off his body, especially his hair. He gets annoyed at very small things, and doesn't really notice the big things. He very rarely loses his smile, even when he's kicking the crap outta somebody. However, his laughter is few and far between, a real gem to anyone who has heard it.
When he gets serious, and the smile vanishes, watch out, because whoever pissed him off should be running for their lives (although they won't get very far). He prides himself on his speed and his hair, and is overall a very shallow person. He believes that he is the gods' gift to women, and flirts constantly.

History: Katsuaki was born to a wealthy family. His mother was a model, and his father was the manager of a vehicle manufacturing facility. For many years he lived with every need taken care of, very rarely being allowed out of the house. When he was old enough, he started going to a private school. Even here, he was catered to. He eventually started going to high school, once again at a private academy. However, his idillic life came to an end suddenly when his mother was in a car accident. She broke her back, meaning she would be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. His father, horrified and upset by what had happened, started losing it, eventually making several mistakes at the company, and was fired. The money they had saved was sufficient to keep living modestly, but Katsuaki had to be transfered to a public school.
Here, his dream became a nightmare. He was picked on constantly by older boys and girls, who envied and despised him for his wealth. He was chased, and even beaten on more than one occasion in the school grounds during lunch. However, he never lost his smile, not once, which angered a few of the oldest kids even more.
On a fateful day near the end of his first year, with birds singing and sun shining, Katsuaki decided to walk home instead of having his mother pick him up. He found out, rather quickly, that this was a mistake. The older boys, who had been waiting all year for this, rounded a corner on their bikes, ready to run him over and beat him to a pulp. Katsuaki, fearing for his life, started running. A single thing kept going through his mind, "I will not let them get me again."
To everyone's surprise, Katsuaki stopped losing ground, going just as fast as the bikes, and then started going faster... and faster... until the older boys had to stop, gasping for air, having been pedalling as fast as possible just to keep Katsuaki in sight. Katsuaki, on the other hand, wasn't breathing heavily at all. In fact, he was loving the feeling of just running, having forgotten completely about the boys who had been chasing him.
That night, when he finally arrived home, his mother frantically asked him where he had been. His answer? "Oh, I just went for a run, don't worry."

The next day, several of the kids that had chased him the day before approached him, this time with awe and amazement, wondering how he had managed to run so fast. He soon became friends with most of them, and they began a tradition of racing after school, although they never did beat him.
From then on, Katusaki ran everywhere he could, training his power as much as possible. He joined the school track team, although he never ran as fast as he could, and had to pretend to be exhausted afterwards.

Two days before his eighteenth birthday, Katsuaki found that his ability was much more than just the power to run....

RP Sample:
It was a brilliant sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, almost no wind.
'A perfect day for a run.' Thought Katsuaki, stepping out of the school gate. As he began stretching, the sound of tires crunching over gravel reached his ears. He knew of only one person who would still try to race him.
"Heh, you still want to get your rear handed to you, Huh?" Katsuaki said without pausing. "You know that I'll beat you, no matter what you've done to your bike, and no matter how hard you pedal."

A laugh sounded behind him. "Don't gloat until you've seen my new wheels, Katsu." The smug voice was then punctuated by the roar of an engine starting up, and Katsuaki spun around, to find his friend Fujitani Shigeru sitting astride a racing motorcycle, the engine purring. "Like it? Dad got it for me for my birthday. Thought you'd appreciate a challenge."
Katsuaki whistled appreciatively, walking around the bike and running his hand over the sleek casing. "Very nice... but you'll still never catch me." Grinning his usual smile, Katsuaki got into a sprinter's stance, and Shigeru gunned the engine of his bike.
"Ready, set, GO!" Katsuaki yelled, and his friend tore off, the bike spitting up gravel before hitting the road. Katsuaki grinned, still in his starting position, and watched until his friend almost vanished over the next hill before finally taking off.

Shigeru was laughing, thinking that he had finally beaten his friend, when a streak of blur burned past him, and he recognised the constant smile of Katsuaki before he dissapeared over the horizon.
'As usual...' Shigeru thought, slowing down and pulling over to the side of the road, shaking his head ruefully. "Damn he's fast..." he muttered, before turning around and heading for home, knowing that once he started running, it would take a long time for Katsuaki to stop.

The air blew past him as he ran, causing his hair to whip around behind him, everything but the distant mountains and the sun in the sky flashing past in a blur.
A pair of skin tight sports pants and light track shoes his only garments, Katsuaki let the air cool him, his toned chest bare for the world to see, if they could make out more than a ripple of color and wind streaking past at nearly the speed of sound.

Suddenly, a strange feeling ran through him, a chill running down his spine, a dark something seeming to clutch at his soul. He had felt something similar several times before, but never this strong... This close.
Using his quickest stopping technique, Katsuaki bent his legs and spun himself around his center of gravity, his heels digging into the pavement, leaving a spiraling indent track in the path. He rarely used this technique, since it was the only one that caused damage to the ground, no matter what path he was on.
After coming to a stop, he rapidly checked his shoes, which were fine as usual, and the deep gouges he had left in the running path behind him, before checking his surroundings.

He found himself in a park, very close to Old Karakura, a part of town he tried to avoid, since the roads and paths were all twisty and curving. He had run further than usual, today.
That dark feeling still gripped his spirit, like a cold fist gripping his heart. He started scanning the park carefully, his eyes narrowed in concentration, until a wet splattering sound caused him to spin around, and then freeze in horror.

The creature in front of him was monstrous, a deformed body and white, bone like mask being the most obvious features... especially since the mouth was gaping, blood staining the teeth of the mask, dripping down to the ground.
The drips drew his gaze, which finally found the origin of the wet splatting sound, which had aparently been a half-eaten body falling out of the creature's mouth. A few black tatters were all that remained of the clothing, and the mangled mess was only identifiable as human by the single leg which remained un-chewed.
Before Katsuaki could feel more than shock, the creature howled, a deep, cutting sound that sent another chill down his spine, and which gave him barely enough warning to dodge the monster's attack, which he felt whistle past his head even as he moved.
The beast slammed into a tree, making it pause, giving Katsuaki time to catch his breath, and make two significant realisations. One, he had moved much faster than usual, his first flash step, and two....

The creature had sliced off some of his hair. His perfect hairdo was ruined. Katsuaki was officially pissed off, his smile falling into a look of murderous intent.

As the Hollow spun around, Katsuaki launched his own attack, the heel of his boot coming down hard and fast right between the eyes of the creature, a loud crunching noise sounding as a spiderweb pattern of cracks appeared in the mask.
The creature howled again, this time in pain, clutching it's face with both hands and staggering backwards. Doing a backflip off the Hollow's face, Katsuaki landed, and stared at his feet in amazement, for his power had finally shown it's true form.

The reddish brown shell like material covered his feet and lower legs in overlapping plates, the edges of which stuck out into razor sharp spikes. Several small claw-like parts, four on each side of each foot, were folded up against the tops of his feet and along his ankles, and along the back of each leg was a long folded blade-like spike.
Admiring his new boots, Katsuaki slowly willed the pieces to move, the small spikes unfolding like crab legs and tapping the ground, while the back blade shifted away from his leg, the edge obviously razor sharp. He was so caught up in the feel of his new power that he almost missed the bellow of rage as the Hollow attacked once again.
The blades at the back unfolded forcefully, slamming into the ground and launching Katsuaki into the air. His eyes narrowing, he watched carefully as the Hollow stopped, and then launched itself after him, leaping into the air.

"Feh. Stupid creature..." Heavy scorn tinged his speech, as he swung his arms around, shifting his weight, beginning a spin which rapidly picked up speed until he was spinning like a top, the blades at his heels snapping around to point downwards, burrowing through the mask of the creature as it rose to meet him.
As he landed, the smaller claws snapped out, digging into the ground and slowing his spin in a modification of his best stopping technique, leaving sixteen deep but small grooves in the asphalt of the running path... which was nothing compared to the shallow crater left behind as the body of the Hollow impacted hard, before dissolving away into nothing.

Katsuaki watched, a look of puzzlement on his face.
"Aww, no trophy? Damn... now no one will believe me..." Sighing, he watched his boots pulse and fade away, although he could feel them there just beyond sight.
"Oh well... now, where was I? Ah, right, running." The smile blazing back to life, he took a sprinters stance, looking up as the wind began to blow, a few leaves gusting past.
"Hehe, race ya!" He told the breeze, and then took off, the whole incident fading into the back of his mind...
