[Lil bit of Music]

A loud tearing sound echoed from the skies overhead Karakura Town as the very seams of time and space were ripped apart. A massive rift within the dimensional fabrics slowly spread, bearing the visage eerily so of the maw of some invisible beast, revealing a pitch-black tunnel of whirling, torrential energy. Coincidental, as Garganta translated to "Throat" in Spanish. Out from this endless void stepped a single figure, garbed almost entirely in white, into the evening's twilit sky. The attire was unusual, a blend of martial arts and casual. The upper body was covered by a white hoody, unzipped and long-sleeved with the left sleeve rolled up to the elbow. The hood was pulled up, casting a light shadow upon the facial features while the silver strands of hair that dangled in front shimmered in the radiant twilight. Beneath the outerwear was a collared black vest, zipped to the upper chest with the collar upturned. As for the lower half, simple white cargo pants fit loosely around the legs with a black sash about the waist.

The horizon splashed with vibrant hues of purple, red, orange, and yellow as if upon a painter's canvas. The male lift a hand, wrapped in black cloth, to shield his eyes from the setting sun. Through the gaps between his fingers calm, brilliant azure irises scanned the city beneath him, as if searching for something...

Who was this person standing upon thin air? How was this person standing on thin air? Surely these would be the thoughts of the hustling and bustling citizens hundreds of feet below. Granted, these would be the thoughts if they were capable of even seeing the figure. It wasn't simply the distance in height the male was above, there were few of the living capable of seeing him.

After all, not all people could see Spirits.

The boy descended at his leisure, stepping nonchalantly down from the sky one footfall at a time; as if upon some invisible staircase. All the while the people strolling the streets underneath, unaware, gradually felt the air about them become a little heavier. Those who were even slightly less Spiritually oblivious would believe their eyes to be playing tricks as the air appeared to fuzz emitting static-like sounds.

Anyone familiar with the events eight hundred years prior would realize that an Arrancar of formidable strength had sauntered into their midst. The said Arrancar had reigned in his Reiatsu as he drew ever closer as to not suffocate the residents, yet even at half it's potential it was forceful. He halted forty feet above ground, level with or above most rooftops of the buildings surrounding, and rest his left hand upon the hilt of one Zanpakuto to the pair sheathed in a diagonal cross at his lower back. With a vacant expression the teen-looking male closed his eyes; Pesquisa would be his sight.

Skaeith Locke had arrived.

Tierra arrived shortly after Skaeth. Watching as his counterpart made an overexaggerated entrance. He followed suit staying behind Skaeth, until they were both walking on the ground. "Don't you think you milked that entrance a bit? I mean especially since most of the people can't see you? Tierra said aloud, trying to make sure Skaeth knew he was there.

Tierra went ahead of Skaeth, and began walking backwards in front of him. "I mean i get it, I really do. The whole dark, omnious, I'm a badass gig. I just think you're spending to much time trying to look cool. But seriously isn't it about time you just came out of the closet. I mean I'm not going to judge you or anything" Tierra said, in a somewhat understanding tone. Tierra turned back around looking forward for a moment. "But all joking aside, where do you want to do this thing? I'm not exactly a big fan of blowing shit up for no reason, I figured if we just raise our spiritual pressure enough someone will see us and take action" Tierra said looking up to the sky. "Although causing a ruckus would bring the most attention on to us" Tierra said with a grin. "Well my extreamely fashinable comrade? What do you suggest?" Tierra said looking a bit more sadistic. Tierra raised on hand in the air, and snapped his fingers.

Just as the snapping could be heard, several holes opened up in the sky all over the city. Many sets of Menos Grande burst through the holes, and began to move across the city. Tierra looked at Skaeith again. "This will do" He said as he turned away. He bagan walking away waving his hand behind him. "Have fun" Tierra stated before taking his leave. He had no clue what he would do next, however with the Menos Grande his pressence would be less felt.

What had she gotten into? This world seemed filled with strange creatures that chose to appear in human forms...and yet most of the humans - such as they were called here too, thankfully - couldn't even SEE them! Some of them retained fiend-like forms and some of those unseen by normal eyes fought them, but Shino still felt she couldn't be sure if they were friendly or not. Could be that they were simply taking out the competition before causing their own brand of mayhem. It'd happened back home sometimes with the fiends. Today had been about the first to be somewhat 'normal'....until the sky had opened into a hole and another being had begun walking down from it nonchalantly.

At the time Shino had been in the park, relaxing on a branch that she'd slept on the night before with a family picnicking below. Albeit she had been in her sort of "spiritual" or "invisible" mode - seeing as she wasn't a normal human. She had died back in her old world and thus wasn't always viewable to the living. Yet the family below had continued on like nothing out of the ordinary had occurred and begun dining on potato salad. Unfortunately she'd only had the pleasure of fighting the things that actually looked like fiends and they hadn't been too fun to take on as it was. As intimidating as it was to arrive from the sky Shino decided she'd check it out. Might as well try to discern if this person was friend or foe.

The family was quite shocked when the branch above shook and they saw a girl jump from seemingly no where when they'd been sure the tree had been vacant earlier. Upon touching down she dashed off and out of the park.

As she began rounding corners giant fiends appeared in the sky and she cursed. More than likely they were stronger than the ones she'd tangled with here, and she didn't have Skeith, or any of the other epitaphs who could likely make quick work of at least one right off the bat. For now she'd just have to dodge them as she made her way towards where the figure was...or where she hoped he was. Accidentally, she nearly rounded the corner but was in time to see another one disappear before rushing back around the corner. Damn, hopefully she hadn't been spotted, but she returned back into her more spiritual state...so at least she wouldn't be questioned by curious humans, and hopefully appear invisible to the fiend around the corner...possible fiend. She wasn't sure what the guy was capable of.

There was another wretched sound filling the air in Karakura. It was even more unpleasant than the Garganta, though to be honest the latter wasn't really that annoying. No, this wasn't of the ordinary unnatural phenomenon. It was something far, far more foul. Something Satan, the overlord of torture and torment himself, would beg for mercy upon being forced to sit through. What was this horrid noise, one might wonder?

The sound of Tierra's voice.

Like nails to a chalkboard it raked across Skaeith's eardrums. Yet despite such a pestilent predicament the Espada did not respond. He did not even open his eyes. Instead he remained completely stationary in almost all physical aspects. One had to look very closely to even notice he was breathing, the rise and fall of his chest almost too subtle to discern; so heavily was he within this trance. Tierra's jabs were growing stale, the repetition of the same material over and over again showed a severe lacking in creativity. The questions were ignored; even the one that actually retained pertinence. The fellow Espada actually assumed there had been some official purpose behind this visit, when in actuality it was Skaeith's curiosity getting the best of him. He wanted to see what the Races were up to, and what they had up their sleeves.

Ire rose as Tierra summoned forth the Menos, the Gillian tearing through Dimensions to ravage Karakura for all it was worth. Skaeith didn't particularly hold Hollow in general in high esteem, but Gillian... As he put, were "Giant lumbering sacks of stupid." Without orders from a coherent and competent Menos class, they simply stood there, swaying in stupidity. Few exceptions devoured other Gillian to continue the path of evolution.

Skaeith was about ready to search the Arrancar out and smack him around a bit before a "flame" flickered within his Pesquisa. Someone of adequate Spiritual prowess was in the vicinity. Intrigued, the Espada kicked off the air lazily, seeming to glide through the air toward the source of this power while descending towards the pavement below. The black cloth wrapped about his feet softened the nearly soundless landing.

The presence was just around the corner.

Instead of walking past simply to be decked like a fool, the boy vanished completely from sight. Only the sound of static left in his wake. He reappeared ten feet in front of the woman, his left hand brushing a few of the many strands of silver hair from his eyes as he sized her up. She was a little taller than he was, and the list would have gone on to borderline flattery had he time to make it. As soon as his eyes met hers, they stopped their scan.

They were of such a piercing gold color, he felt his lips part as his jaw dropped ever so slightly. His own azure irises lit up, faintly glowing even under the slight shroud his hood cast upon the upper half of his face. Quickly regaining his composure, Skaeith closed his mouth to avoid looking some woman-deprived fool. "Good evening. He offered in a friendly, casual tone as he slowly sauntered forth until the gap between had been closed to five feet.

Curious as to what the boy might have been doing, she'd been ready to peak around the corner again when, low and behold, he popped into existence in front of her. The ability to breathe escaped her as she appeared to forget the valuable skill in her shock of his sudden appearance. Eyes even enlarged as they tried to take in the fact that the area of air was now displaced by his presence, no longer empty.

Well damn, he better be somewhat friend or she might very well be screwed. Would be a shame to be forced back to the Farplane into a state of permanent death before she'd even found him again.

She wasn't wholly sure what he was doing as he stepped forward, and found only more befuddlement as he gave her a greeting of sorts. Or at least she'd heard people say such once she'd discerned the usual language around here - none too different from her own, with only a few differences. Her guard refused to lower so she kept her eyes on him in some vain hope of keeping track of him. One still had to be cautious of the unknown and from what she could discern many couldn't see him - she'd had very little to no contact with the people invisible to the normal humans so she'd have to treat him with all caution. "Hello..." she was at a loss as what to say more, considering they'd not only just met, but she was still so new here that she was unaware of many common reactions to such a situation. She did, however, move a little away from the wall so as not to be completely cornered, but elbows were bent ever so slightly so as to be ready to defend should the need arise.

The woman seemed very unsure about the situation as she replied, and Skaeith took this as fear. Probably not too far off the mark, either; except he believed it would be born out of the fact that he was an Arrancar. Strangely enough, people seemed to find them relatively intimidating. As if they were cold-blooded murderers lured only out into the open by the scent of a possible blood-bath. He couldn't comprehend as to why or where they would get such a ridiculous concept. Unless it was somehow derived from the fact that he was ascended from a species that knew only only how to sate their own hunger by ending the lives of anything or anyone that chance to be a satisfying meal. Or appetizer. Or perhaps even dessert.

Without realizing it, Skaeith had closed the distance between them further yet, three paces and he would be pressed to her, and she would be pressed to the wall. Of course, such a scenario did not make itself known within his mind. Another step was taken, slow and easy as if he were dealing with a wounded animal. He was within reach when he stopped, locking his gaze with her own all the while. "Might I ask your name?" His right hand lift and extend toward her, palm upturned in invitation for her own to be placed within. He kept both the expression on his face and the sound of his voice peaceful and neutral while the look in his eyes warm.

Her eyes darted to his feet as they decided to close the distance bit by bit and once it'd decreased to two feet she began inching towards the side...and quickly. There had been too many times where a wall to her back hadn't worked out well, if for no other reason because a large fiend decided to cause an earthquake. And considering how fast he was it was possible he could kill her with relative ease with such distance. Like swatting a fly with a broken wing. She wasn't sure what to make of the raised hand as she took a small jump to the side, now having the wall to her left as she took a few steps backwards. Probably some other custom she had yet to analyze amongst the humans...

"My...name? Its....Shino...." manners might dictate usually giving one's full name but at the same time she was still uncomfortable doing so with anybody in this world. Besides it could be for the best because she wasn't sure who he'd managed to make friends with yet, and if this boy was on his side then she didn't want the boy telling him that he'd met her and where. The element of surprise would be more valuable due to a change of abilities - lesser compared to her old - and she wasn't sure if he retained his old ones or not.

Skaeith watched as she backed away from him, centimeter by centimeter; inch by inch. Even with the fact that he was a Hybrid of a Hollow working against him, this was unusually strange. Was she not accustomed to kindness? Did he emanate some aura of ill will that reeked of sinister intent? He could not fathom it. Her actions were almost infantile in nature, safely observing something new from afar. Too frightened to come closer, too interested to run away. But for all he knew, fright could be what kept her from running as well.

Still, her actions bothered him. Arrancar of a non-hostile sort weren't unheard of. In the events eight hundred years prior, a former Espada had assisted the infiltration of Las Noches and the rescue and retrieval of a Human girl gifted in Spiritual awareness and abilities. Was there some hideous and heinous past behind those golden irises? Had she encountered his kind before? If so, it more likely than not had been an unpleasant experience.

There was something about being deemed untrustworthy that drove the boy to prove that he wasn't an animal. Of Arrancar, he was relatively good in nature. Though he was not beyond actions that, in his current mindset, filled him with disdain. The thoughts brought a slight grimace to his lips, which easily could have been taken for displeasure at the woman's fear of him.

A lightbulb clicked. There was one gesture that was easily read and understood even amongst simpletons, he hoped it would get the point across. With a subtle flourish of his left hand, the Arrancar dipped forward slightly in a bow. It felt awkward, bowing to someone clearly inferior to him in strength, but that also brought a smile to his lips. Any self-respecting, proud Arrancar wouldn't be caught dead doing such an act. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Shino." He said, raising his head to make eye contact, a small grin still playing upon his lips. "Skaeith, at your service."

Okay, so an outright bowing was bizarre and she felt herself relax a bit...and then returned to her cautious nature, only trying to be a bit less obvious about it. Well he obviously had mental capabilities so he wasn't fully like a fiend since they were often incapable of proper speech and intelligible actions. So.....he was intelligible at least then. Then she heard his name and he couldn't have done anything better at utterly disarming her of both thought and caution as she stared at him in bewilderment.

"Sk....Skeith?" is that what he'd said? Or was it a name that merely sounded similar? He might spell it the same way or a bit differently but wouldn't cease to...confuse and astound her, "Err....nice...to meet you?" Her mind was still trying to fully process this and catch up to the current moment but still wasn't quite there yet.

The grin broadened a bit as she seemed to relax. The overly apparent tensions having melted away, or at the very least seeming to. As he'd expected, it was hard not to catch the honest intentions of a bow. At least in this case, since as far as Skaeith was aware, he had not posed or made attempt for any hostilities. It would be incredibly convenient if the situation need not come to such a sort. Violence wasn't the Espada's favorite pastime. But there was more to it than that. Something... Strange about those eyes had piqued his interest. Were it not for the blatant differences in the Reiryoku pattern between her and anything akin to a Hollow, he would have mistaken her for an Arrancar.

Her air that was once one of utter caution changed drastically. It had become one more so of utter confusion, from his point of view. She was staring at him as though he'd stripped himself of all clothing, minus a look of interest. He straightened his posture and took a more relaxed, casual look about him. Well, one that was even more so. Shino stammered slightly as she repeated his name, and in response he nodded. He stared at her for a moment as her greeting sounded more a question than anything, leading him to be almost as confused as he thought her to be.

The Espada took a step forward, lifting both hands to his hood and pulling it down as he continued to keep a steady gaze on the woman, revealing the wild, spiky mess of silver hair, the bone fragment upon his left cheek that ran in a narrow, jagged piece from near the bridge of his nose back to his ear, and a black mark upon his right. The mark was actually a tattoo. A Roman numeral, in fact. It wasn't hard to guess at what number this ink represented.

"1"

"Have we... Met before?" The boy asked.

"Somehow I sincerely doubt that. It was, admittedly, your name though that I recognized due to some strange history I'd rather not delve into," it was still hard to get over that strange bit of coincidence. While that bit of shock was settling - for a moment she thought the boy might be her Skeith, but the likelihood was slim - she was stunned anew with his strange appearance. Some material was attached to his face, nose to ear, and a tattoo of some bizarre script on his other cheek though she knew not what it meant. Yet he wasn't completely strange to her, having seen plenty of silver-haired people in her own world...and was rather fond of the color for hair. Even silver haired animals were often favorites.

Some caution might pay but she was....well she was oh so curious now as to what he was, why he had such things adorning his face, and as to why someone such as herself could see him yet most of the populace stared blindly through him. And maybe what those large things were. Hypothesizing would get her no where and so with a deep breath she finally asked, "What exactly are you?" Hopefully he'd answer truthfully though she couldn't be sure. Some explanation would be welcome at the moment though and she'd have to brave asking someone else for a second opinion on whatever he told her later: assuming there would be a 'later.'
